Announcement: Introducing the Winners of the 2018 “Travel and Culture” Photo & Video Contest...
The Office of International & Off-Campus Study is pleased to announce the two winners of this year’s photo and video contest!
1st PlaceAkeweh Fondong
Senior and Biological Sciences major Akeweh Fondong was one of 23 students and four faculty that traveled to Ecuador in Winterim 2018. Akeweh studied herbal medicines and remedies, visiting the Ecuadorian Amazon as part of his travel course experience. His photo, “Enjoying Nature and the Beautiful Weather,” was taken on the Tiputini River.
2nd Place
Caroline Izzi
Senior and Business Communication major Caroline Izzi won for her photo “Trafalgar Square: Thumbs Up If You Like British Accents” and 1st place video “12 Hours in Amsterdam.” Caroline studied abroad in London, England in summer 2017 and completed coursework as well as an internship in the luxury travel industry.
